Idaho is home to five (5) publicly-funded (and privately supported) ‘state’ colleges (aka: ‘community’ or ‘junior’ colleges) and three (3) state universities. Idaho also plays host to a half-dozen independent (privately-funded) colleges as well. In total, satellite campuses included, Idaho has various institutions of higher learning in 51 locations across the state.
