California has the largest college system in the world situated in 503 statewide locations. It consists of 110 community colleges in 72 districts (many with more than one campus), and the main and satellite campuses of the publicly-funded (and privately supported) University of California and California State University. There are also numerous independent (privately funded) graduate colleges such as the University of Southern California and Stanford University. For the complete list of all colleges by city, see:
California (all except LA, SF, SD)
Los Angeles metro
San Francisco metro
San Diego metro
Along with the many colleges offering vocational-type classes, some predominately, we also have listed in our trade school directories hundreds of 'exclusively vocational' trade schools with a website as well (due to the character of our directories, they must be 'brick-n-mortar' and have a website to be listed). As to what schools and where, see:
California (all except LA, SF, SD)
Los Angeles metro
San Francisco metro
San Diego metro
For information on the business sector, amenities and other aspects of a particular area, few places are better sources than the chamber of commerce of any city such as the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, the Greater West Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce or the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce.
For California as a whole, visit the California Chamber of Commerce website and their Relocation and Travel webpage (for the amenities).
For information on counseling, the admissions process, scholarships and student loans, see our western states colleges webpage. It also contains information about the outstanding Career Information System (CIS).
