According to legend once part of the abandoned Aztec empire of Aztlán, in effect being a ‘state’ under one flag or another since the 12th century, Arizona has three (3) publicly-funded (and privately supported) universities and 16 community colleges within its seven community college districts. Including the independent (privately-funded) colleges, there are campuses of higher learning in 132 locations statewide.

See our city-by-city Arizona college directory or Phoenix metro college directory for all other colleges and universities (independent) and for the locations of satellite campuses.
Along with the many colleges offering vocational-type classes, some predominately, we also have listed in our trade school directories nearly a hundred 'exclusively vocational' trade schools with a website as well (due to the character of our directories, they must be 'brick-n-mortar' and have a website to be listed). As to what schools and where, see our city-by-city Arizona trade school directory or Phoenix metro trade school directory.
For information on the business sector, amenities and other aspects of a particular area,
few places are better sources than the chamber of commerce of any city such as the
Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce
or the Tucson Metropolitan
Chamber of Commerce.
For Arizona as a whole, visit the Arizona Chamber
of Commerce & Industry website or for detailed visitor information, visit
the Arizona Guide website.
For information on counseling, the admissions process, scholarships and student loans, see our western states colleges webpage. It also contains information about the outstanding Career Information System (CIS).
